Now a days you can see that internet is filled with huge amount of post against ‘Wicked Clients’. But we are human beings and doing mistakes are natural. There are numbers of things  client don’t like to hear in place of top-grade work.

So today I will write about the things clients don’t want to hear from us. This article is not for criticizing anyone our anyone’s skills, it’s just for professionals, so that they can figure out why they are using such terms and how can they enhance communication with clients or their bosses.

1. I will submit it to you later

There are many clients who always try to delay in making payments, vice versa there are many designers/developers who always missed the deadline. In some worst cases they even don’t explain the reason for delay submission, they just try to make excuses or just tell you I will submit it later. In some cases they don’t bother to reply on reminder mails.

Being a client you should have to set a deadline your project to make them understand how important it is for them.
You can also set milestones for your project. In few cases there are freelances who do really good job but they are bad in time management. They ask for time extension, for them clients don’t have to be neither too flexible nor too rigid. You can make decisions according to your own personal circumstances.

2. Sorry For the Late Reply

Clients don’t prefer to work with the peoples who disappeared without even informing them and only pop-up on deadline for submitting the work and collecting the payment. Apart from perfectly completed task proper communication is also a part of work process. So you should have to make proper communication with the client. Because without communication you may not be able to attend the target. Being in touch and time to time work review will be helpful for both of you.

3. I will have to Charge this and that

If you are giving quotation for a service and you mentioned each and every details including charges for each service. Then it’s completely bullish to charge for little changes.

Trust me, this kind of behavior only annoys your client. You can lost future opportunities that may be coming from that client or their references. You should have to make each thing clear in beginning of project. It’s a healthy practice to clear everything in start instead of mid of the project.

4. I’ve given you a discount

“We usually charge 2,000 bucks for this kind of work but we will give you a discount!” By saying such kind of words you can pretend smarter to yourself and your team only. From client end no one likes to hear such kind of words.

Clients ask for price rate then you should have to mention appropriate price. Don’t try to be generous. This kind of practices fails to build trust between clients and you.

5. I Think Your Idea Sucks

In many cases clients don’t have any idea about color theme and designing stuffs, they come to the conclusion after any outcome. So if you think client’s idea will not be fit to the design then there are many other ways to tell him that it will be work or it will not look good rather than saying your idea sucks.
We don’t have to be harsh with our client’s. To be practical they are paying us for his task so he has right to share their opinion, either it’s in your favor or not.

6. Trust Me, I know More Than you Do

May be its possible you know better than client in terms of designing & development but the project on which you are working is client’s idea so it’s not possible to know more than them in terms of idea. If client is interrupting in your work process then you can tell him to wait for outcome or there or many ways to express yourself.

7. This is My Work Style

Being a designer or developer you may have your working style, every one have. But to be a professional you should have to understand that some projects require smooth workflow with predicted outcome. So you can’t tell that it’s my work style, I can’t go out of my comfort zone. you should have to go out of your comfort zone for some projects.

Do you really think it’s cool. It can be cool ever cooler with your friends but your client is not your friend. If you want to have goof impact on your client then never text or speak with your clients in such way. trust me you will not look cool…you will just look like fool. You should have to professional with your client and act sincerely.
